Hot Rods World Famous Shakey Puddin sells at Barrett Jackson??

The sad part and the real shame is that when some people see this High Roller debacle they will believe it is representative of the gasser era. There are a large number of people that seem to believe that if you jack up the car high enough and put the required Moon tank and straight axle then you have a gasser. There are so many things wrong with this car and not just limited to the stance and rake and the calliope wheels and small tires.

Jim in between your snickering at this nightmare you can remain secure that no one in their right mind will ever mistake this for the real Shakey Puddin.

 

Hilarious. Regarding the Hot Rod Magazine sticker; I sure hope this wasn't a magazine build. Even if they didn't have a part in the Puddin' naming, the car completely misses the mark. The "gasser" builds being overdone has now (hopefully) reached it's pinnacle cresting at "stupid level". Same as RR's, fake patina, monochrome, Pro Street, etc. People get so wrapped up they over do everything to the point that it caves in from it's own weight.

OK, please don't hate me --> Actually, it looks like a good start for a REAL gasser --> Change the wheels (duh!) to traditional wheels, lower the rear (or raise the front), get rid of the billet trim in the interior, and I'm sure there are a few more changes to make this a bitchin' car. The foundation is there.

 

The only thing that 55 Chevy abortion has with a real car is four wheels. Its a flat out POS that some dumbass bought because he didn't know any better.

That's exactly what i was thinking. Both of them kinda miss the mark, although i'm not really into the new world gasser thing anyway.

As soon as I saw the thread name I jumped. From the first time I saw 'Shaky Puddin' I was in love. What a great car with such a great vibe top to bottom. When I saw the picture of what was sold I smiled and was glad the real puddin will continue shakin my memories as is.

 

Who builds a gasser or any race car wanna be without a roll bar? I mean pick a theme and stick to it. On the positive, you cant build that car for $27k, the buyer didn't get completely screwed.

 

It doesn't look to be. If it was, I'm sure B-J would have plastered it all over the description. But is does look like something they would build.

 

Ass Monkey as bad as they are wouldn't even build something that.

I agree. Always heard that the auction houses verified any seller claims about being the real thing. Maybe this should be brought to B-J's attention.

 

The real Shakey Puddin´is an icon of a 55 Chevy to me...
I´m sure this poor little car would drive off a cliff in shame if it saw itself in a mirror.
