Well, i planned on posting regular pics as i made progress on my 32 5W build.At this point the chassis is just about finished and i haven't posted anything.So much for planning.Anyway,just finished up the Transmission and thought i would put up a few pictures. It is made up of mostly N.O.S. parts, including the case which was a gift from a friend i built a 31 roadster for.Not sure i'm going to run the chrome shifter,i think it's a little "fancy" for the car which will be sort of a "beater" in the sense that i used alot of old chrome and as found parts,original paint wheels and things that are generally one step up from shabby.Here's some pics

Hey , you guys are supposed to be looking at the transmission,not my careless lathe practices LOL.It's a bad habit for sure but if i put it anywhere else it takes a 1/2 hour to find it and i'm old and can't afford to waste that much time !My old High School shop Teacher would have a stroke if he followed me around the shop while i work !
Trans looks great! But as a Hihg Skewl Sohp Teachor I'd give you a Zero for the day if I catch you leaving the key in the chuck. Hang it on a chain or something if it keeps walking off.
That's the first thing I saw in that picture. Was going to advise you to take the chuck key out lest you maim yourself or worse., but I see that's been covered...... If my old boss saw something like that on a lathe or in a drill press, he'd grab it and throw it as far as he could; co-workers duck!
