  1. We calmed the wheelies down, & skinned the 60' some more. Ole Orange Krud better watch out Saturday Night!.., and the Oprah Doinker better be ready to move its fat ass too! image.jpeg

    Yesterdays news...are you still talking?

You had your chance the Sunday of the last Meltdown...but every time I wanted to line up next to you...you would be all like "can I borrow your helmet so my uncle can go for a ride"?

I know Jackson but I can't toss the Chevy and switch to MOPAR just like that...there is too much involved:

Well that should stir the pot!:p;)

Randall driving a MOPAR is still better than pushing a blue oval.

  7. Man, your memory is all fuzzy, like Al Gores math. As I recall, you told me, " I got something for you now, I just went 10.88 with a passenger", to which I replied, "oh really, can I borrow your helmet and take uncle Russ for a ride"? Then we and the Child laid down a passenger laiden 10.77 (giving your helmet it's best ride ever), and handed it back to your Stundness. Next thing I know, the Doker is on the trailer with its Famoso between its pie crusts, look'n for cover. We'll go some rounds this year, passengers or not ya big Giraffe!

As long as we're under 500! Maybe you nailed it and we'll be #424 like is painted on the car for Dennis's old competition number. Pitting at Sam's might be fun, but there should be plenty of room in the pits with 100 fewer entries this year. I just hope Jeffrey-effrey-effrey doesn't play shenanigans and black-ball us so he and the Dookie Horker and it's artificial breathing apparatus don't have to be embarrassed watching Yesterday's Chili's push bar disappear into the distance!

Carly and I are looking forward to coming this year! She will be 16 and have her license so she can make some 1/4 mile passes by herself! Gamez we need to see about that match race we talked about last year! Of course Sassy will have a new dress as well as a new engine for this years Meltdowns! Registration #30! Just need to find a new Vortec shortblock for her! Spun 3 rod and one main bearing at last years Meltdowns!

Scott, I have a few more hours behind the wheel of that old MOPAR than you have gotten in the last two years with the Salt lake sneezer

  27. DANG! Getting all SAVAGE! I've decided not to bag on anyone's broke down, clapped out rides at Meltdowns passed. So far we've made it 2 years without incident, and we don't need Ole Mother Brokejunk breathing down our necks. I'm just hoping the weather we've had the two years we've gone, is there for us all again this year. I don't relish being a walking talking Doker bust'n ball gravey machine!

  29. Good Lord willing, it'll be there again. The guy pitted next to us slept in his dragster trailer, and said in 2015, it was 100 degrees @ midnight in his trailer.

    Engine builders

Would like your thoughts on these main bearings, rod bearings are similar.

This s.b.c. is hard blocked to the bottom of the water pump holes, so oil temps have been to 275+ before
installing an oil cooler. Cooler maintains temps below 275 ( even @ ball gravy hot Meltdown Drags )

Had a dash cam keeping an eye on oil pressure gauge, ( never caught pressure diving during runs )

Looks like a blessing that I pulled it apart now. main bearing 1.jpg main bearing 2.jpg
