What are the differences in a 31 vs a 32 Ford pickup? I friend sent some pictures of one he found and I'm not sure.

I think he's asking for specific ways to know a 32 from a 31 when looking at pics. If you can see the firewall/cowl top, that's a good place to start. 31 gas tank is in the cowl, 32 is under in the frame.
Others can add in some easily seen differences.

Ok let me be more specific. How can you visually tell the difference?

This has me puzzled. Is there a piece missing here or is this a compilation of parts? The other side looks like someone put a 2x6 in the gap.

  6. The best solution would be to post the pictures. Are we talking about a complete truck or just pieces? The gas tank is in the cowl in '31 and under the seat in '32. Does a factor of two or maybe three in the price count as a difference?

It looks to me someone cut the corners off the back section but from the pics it looks like there is a lip on the back panel. ???

Looks like a cut down 30-31 sedan body. Can't see enough of the box, but is not a 28-mid 31 box.

No one mentioned the grilles which are totally different. The frames are entirely different. 32 truck is just like the passenger car.

That looks like a 30-31 Tudor sedan cowl and doors with the center panel with rear window moved forward. The 30-31 pickup rear panel is one piece with corners that meet the doors. Bed is not Model A. Bob

31 has a roof that's filled in with wood, wire and material, 32 has a one piece metal roof.

  20. After August '31 the Model A truck had an all metal roof.
