2 1/2 channel is just what my car was built with back in the day, and it doesn't hide the beautiful reveal in the frame. Good choice!
You may be slightly insane, but then we all are to some extent. I will be following with great interest. Please have someone inform us if you are committed to institution
I am glad you decided to build it Pete. Looking forward to seeing this come together Sent from my SM-G900V using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
A pal loaned me these chopped windshield frames years ago.. I'm thinking the 5" chop cream colored one.
Can someone give me the stock quarter window height? I have chopped ones but have no idea how much the chop is. Mine measure about 9-1/8" inches tall Thanks.
Dude, it's a metal '32! It's a big job but I think most of us are a little jealous. Nice progress so far.
Doin great! I wish my 34 had been that solid when I got it...seriously! This is how my 34 ford coupe started out! No body at all, just an old buick cowl with a homemade "woodie" body on a gennie 33 ford coupe chassis.
I am always amazed at what the love of an old Deuce will make men do. Congratulations on your will and skill to save this poor old coupe.
Atta boy, Mr. Peetah!! You've got VISION, my boy! Another cool save from "hot rod hell". You are under observation.
Thanks for encouragement fellas. So it looks like my roof is chopped roughly 4 inches. That's a start... Lol
Personally, my vote is for the second windshield, the all brown one. Maybe leave the doors unchopped and bring the roof down in front to match your chopped windshield?
The donor roof ^ Amazing to me that somebody many decades ago, did a nice all metal chop, but then at some point, the hot rod was left outside to rust away. I do recall the days when these old coupes were not worth much at all, as the muscle cars were starting to appear at car showrooms.
