I'll be there with my wife and two children. Anyone have a spare seat for the poker run on Saturday so I don't have to leave anyone behind ?
Hey George, this is second hand info, but, a very good friend of mine was talking to Ron not too long ago and he said he was going to do the show one last time. So as far as I know, it will be a go. I really hope so. It is always a great show and a great day.
Just a thought for those going with very low cars...sometimes the upper car deck of the BC Ferry can be difficult to get on due to the angle of the ramp. Which can be affected by the tide. But the lower deck (usually reserved for over height veh's and semi's) is much flatter and very easy for low cars. If you can ask the girl at the ticket booth or the ferry loader, they will probably let you on the lower deck.
LOVE the vintage BC photos Chevbucket. Beautiful. Who remembers driving across the old train bridge in Mission?
I'm not quite old enough, but I have been told stories of having to wait for the trains to cross before the cars could cross the mission bridge.
Yup. I remember going across on it as a kid back in the sixties, when we were going to see my Uncle in Matsqui. IIRC, it was still in use when the old track closed in the late seventies. We used to take the Fort Langley ferry across to go street racing in Langley too, often as a group. Kinda cool, half a ferry load of loud and rowdy street racer cars on slicks driving on to the boat as a group at 1AM.
It's not for a magazine..... try to head to Victorias only "gentlemens club" and maybe you can get a copy from the "dancer"
O.K. Internet, now you have done it, just to get a photo of your car I have to go to a gentleman's Club , damn! ....Only in Canada.... LOL, USMURCUTE.
Chevbucket those pictures are awesome!!! I know I'm being greedy but, any more? I've lived on the island my whole life but am to young to remember any of it looking like that, I love the history though. Thanks
Sadly the days of anyone giving a shit as to how things are designed are long gone. As long as it's done fast and cheap, that's what matters. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Very nice, apparently a very reliable car. She still exists and is in good shape, as well as the owner
