Thank you very much! Nowadays when it's summer in sweden i try to use it as much as possible, drive it to work when it's not raining!

Need some feedback!

I'm thinking about painting my wheels black. I think it would look cool, it looks a bit more "hot rod" If you ask me.
But at the same time it's a bit different using the primer paint that is on right now.

What do u guys think, should i paint them black?

Personally, I like the white. I'd use my time, energy, and money for something else!

 

For your information they are not really white, more of a combination between grey/white/yellow haha just kidding, i have to wait and see how it turns out with hubcaps on!

Sounds like you've got an "antiqued antique white" on them!

 

I've seen pics of 39 teardrops installed in tight situations where they cut the back end off the bucket, just as much as needed so it clears, then cap it with metal. Then drill a new hole and install a snap in socket from the side of the bucket.

So I'm planning to hop up my 4 banger. And looking for speedparts. I'm not really finding anyone who wants to sell me some Old intake,head and distributor.

However i have seen a couple of SU carburettor Powered 4 bangers. It's a cheaper alternative, and it's pretty cool If u ask me.
And since my dad is working with Old english cars like MG, Jaguar, Austin healey and so on, he more or less has Old SU's laying around home.
I'm gonna use a pair from an MGA because they have seperate float Chambers and i think they look more vintage.
I will fabricate my own intake and maybe own headers. Or I'm gonna build an intake that fits the original header.

I'm considering a roof chop. However im 6 feet 2 (187cm). Will i fit in a coupe with 4" roof chop? Off course i have to lower the couch. Maybe someone tall can tell?

My coupe looks so f**kin high right now. And i alwaysed thought chop coupes are cooler.

On chops I like them cut just enough to make the quarter windows square. About 3 inches.

I understand that too. That is why I didn't chop mine. I couldn't fit comfortably in one that is chopped.

 

I'm 6'2", and my 30 coupe has a 4" chop. The seat is on the floor, my knees are at almost shoulder height, because I have to slouch down to drive. Cool, yes, but not terribly comfortable. Tape some cardboard inside your car to lower the roof temporarily so you'll know how it would feel if you chopped it.

 

Now i understand! Hope i didn't sound to rude in my reply.

Looking great!
Let me add something on height.
Model A's bounce.... a lot!
I'm 6-1 (I used to be 6-2!) My car is un-chopped.
I fit in it fine with about a stock height seat.
But sitting in a car that is not moving is only half the story.
Hammering on the back roads,
(yes we still have them in New York!),
my head will still come in contact with the roof
due to spring bounce. Even really good shocks
will not stop it all. I have MG TD shocks on mine.
They look very period and work great. Your dad will know!
Just giving some insight.
Keep it up. I think you were a teen ager in 1946!
