I've always like 30/31 coupes better than the 28/29 coupe because of the shape of the cowl and I find a lot more and cheaper 28/29 coupes. I have lots of 30/31 cowls and am tempted to fit one to a 29 coupe to see how it would look. I'd leave the flat belt line on the 29 door and modify the brief piece of double belt line on the cowl and adapt the difference in hinge location. Once you chop the top, I wonder how many people would notice? Has anyone done this before? You can buy 4 foot long sticks of 30/31 double belt line if you really want to make it look like a 30/31 if you wanted to go that far.
The 30/31 is wider you will need to slim the cowl down a little bit but it has been done before and I am sure that it can be done again. I recently was thinking about adapting the Vicky A pillers and windshield frame to my '28. I have since come up with a decent windshield frame so that kind of nixes that plan. LOL
To each his own.......... I really like the narrowed down cowl on the '29.....reminds me of the waist on a pretty gal. Everybody knows the '31 is just a '32 wannabe with a visor.
Actually the 28/9 is a transition from T to A. I like the look my self but I also like the look of the 30/31. I am so confused.
I think that's what I like about the 31. It looks more like a 32 but they are a lot more plentiful than 32's (and affordable)
You left out the sawzall. @redo32 if the '28/29 looks like a lady with a slim waist the '30/31 looks more like a fat bottom girl, you know what they say "fat bottom girls you make the rockin world go round." [queen]
