This the Terenzio Bros. "Let It Fly" AA/A in a second paint scheme. (I don't recall which photo was taken first.)

  6. Not unknown. This is Sheldon Schmidt's coupe. Sheldon was 3 years ahead of me at West Covina high school. He drove this '34 coupe to school for two years. It was your typical used up backyard built hot rod with a carbureted Chrysler. After he graduated, Sheldon met Mike Demerest and Glenn Way, the original "Ground Shakers". They stripped the coupe beefed up the frame and installed one of Mike's blown Chryslers, put a show paint job on it and went racing, briefly. Second time out, at Pomona, the throttle hung open, and Sheldon went for a ride! The car wound up on the golf course across McKinley Ave, past the end of the strip. Sheldon was lucky, the coupe, not so much. Mike pulled his engine and rear end, and the rest went to the crusher.

The Jack Shaw Chevrolet C/A Coupe. This would be an excellent example to build a current day street driven Hot Rod.

  10. A couple of Vette altereds, I don't think that it happened much. You sure don't see many. Man am I glad this thing is still alive. I think we are rivaling "Awful Awful Altereds" at this point. ;)

We actually are, sort of, now only without the turtle deck. ;)

This photo doesn't do the paint job on this Altered justice. It was beautiful. The team C/MP Corvette is in the background, with matching paint, which was even more impressive on the full-bodied car.

Can anyone give me some information on the Hyder&Koulan 34 coupe? Very similar looking to the 15oz. coupe. Is this a different car or one in the same. I've seen and known about the 15 oz. coupe since the 60's but never seen the Hyder&Koulan coupe in person.

It is my first car, I actually built the frame when I was 12 (in 1973) It's been driven everywhere, never on a trailer, (unless it's broken) too much fun
