This 1935 Buick unmolested survivor is at an estates sale there's a on - off switch on the steering column that's keyed with wired going to it i read where 34 & 35 had two sided keys for those years no one can find a key for the switch the car does start in the off position - any ideas if it's true that there is a 2 sided key ?
Take a pic of the keyhole. It does look like a strange slot shape. It should be an anti-theft locking column, too I have what is marked as a 34 Buick column and box, but I don't recall seeing if it still has that lock and mount.
No, not me - they have a buyer for $10,000 They bought used double sided BASCO keys = Briggs & Stratton Co they wouldn't even go in a little bit
My 34 Chevy Master uses a two sided BASCO key. The keys were missing when I bought the car. I ended up sending the locks to a retired locksmith in Washington State. He mentioned that these types of locks were used in 1934 GM cars and trucks, in addition to 1934 Nashes. He might have mentioned 1935 GM's also, but I just remember the 1934 GM's, since that is what I have. He also said that they were "Miserable Locks". A very bad design that were not used very long.....For good reason, they were crappy locks.
