^^Yup! Cool stuff. I had a picture of this car taped to my bedroom wall in late sixties. Other kids on my block had pictures of Bobby Orr, I had Willy Borch, Bill Jenkins and Kendricks Deuce...
No Rachel Welch?
The Kid Nekkid!!!! Quick, Get some flames on it!!!!! The Flamed CA. Kid posted above in Falcon George's quote is the 33 version, Look very closely at the grille, then the lack if the web in the window opening - (added pics to clarify). The 33 is a very nice car as well.
Man, a BUNCH of my favorites right there! That '33 Five window should be at the very top of the list for "Most Significant Model 40's" if anyone ever does a list. I havent seen that Model A Tudor before, that is cool!
No Rachel Welch?
Linda Vaughn..."Heres Linda" poster...Seriously. Wish I still had that, probably worth some bucks now...
]Look closer.34 latches, but 33 grill and hood?[ It's a 33, latches, hood & grill. 34's have two latches, straight louvers and straight grill bars.
Mick, I dont think any two of these guys are on the same page! For those that dont get it, the black car I posted IS the california kid. The BEST version...
I'm on the same page, but you just happened to post the car that is a very close resemblance to the California Kid, but it isn't the car the PC3 built in 1972 and 73. . I grew up with Pete's car when it was built, sold, bought back, changed and sold again. Been in it many times when Re-Pete & Jakes opened in Pomona aka PC3g and the suspension was tuned up again in 1996 (owned by Jerry though). Here's the updated "Kid" with the character features that I spoke about in the above post and in the below image right inside P&J's Peculiar, MO. building. (not me in the pic though, just picked off the HAMB). Now below the recreation in 33 guise, Note, a very good representation in it's own right, but if you know the "Kid" well you will know its little nuances and what made it different from the others.
I was looking for a pic of Cal Tanakas coupe, and found this on another thread, nice. I'm gonna get mine in early this time, '34.
All kool fendered cars guys, Great shots of the them all. This thread is very informative. True, Falcon George You posted the "Kid pre-flamed, and the quote of Bader actually had the 33. I just dig this thread as all kinds of cars that aren't shown in world wide pix have been posted here, That's why "The HAMB is GREAT!"
No problem,, I am goin delete all my stuff...( I think we were confused, probably me, I'm old) and on legal meds.. I love all of them, even the bent up "V" under Tanaka's '33. "skid tank" Vinther made the "tank" to cover the dent's after the last time.
I didnt remember the tank on there, but I thought maybe my memory sucked. I will find the old R&C article on it.
