Projects 63 Falcon Gasser (South East Gassers)

  1. How about a Falcon/Mustang radiator. There has been one in the '56 since the mid late 60's 2 row back then, and a 4 row now since we drive it on the street occasionally. 56 & Boys 074.jpg Soul Motion 6.jpg

Im considering an aluminum 2 row 66mustang 6cyl radiator, Im hoping to lose a gallon of water and a little weight on the radiator. Maybe 10lb total. It has an aluminum radiator that goes on my 69 mach1 in it at the moment

Were you able to get something worked out with the other mags you had that everyone was telling you not to drill?

Griffin make a "rat rod" series aluminum 2 row radiator, they come without brackets and you add your own. They are very reasonably priced. I originally ran a mustang radiator in my truck and replaced it with one of these when I added HP.

Aw, you drilled YOUR wheels, cool.
And those fronts ones are the coolest wheels you could ever put on the front of a nostalgia door car.
    Gonna be neat.

    Edit
Sorry, I looked closer at the photo of the rear AM,s.:D

  11. I'm jelous them are the front wheels I need. Mine are aluminum. I have been looking also for about a year with no luck finding any that won't cost me a kidney. Can't wait to see them on the car should look pretty good.

I was going to ask how many kidneys one would need.

I can't remember, do you have fiberglass body panels? I really like the front axle flip by the way.

Found some used brakes on ebay with the wrong brackets and offset, but figured what the hell. Ended up being able to modify the bracket and made a .125 spacer to go behind the rotor to fix my offset issue. Total investment was way less than $300 image.jpg

Painted up the aerospace calipers and brackets. I personally think they look more traditional than the Wilwoods, I just wish they offered them with solid rotors

image.jpg image.jpg Finally ready for race season. Ended up getting 255lb off of the car (one change left but I've already weighed it) which should put me right around 2355 total weight, or about 8 lb over weight. Can't wait to see how it runs.

If you took a b&w photo, it would look like a shot from the 60's.
    Love it.
