Plan on giving the Powershifter a good run, (after Scott declared war on us ) may be more of a lesson on old age and treachery.:D lol

  7. Hey Scott I hope u have your ford all sorted out for the meltdown. I know mine will be and we can send these all these chebbys back to the drawing board.

Jimbo I hope u are not just taking a lessons out of Sour Grapes book about polishing everything up rather than figuring out why that ol ford doesn't run as hard as it should. We might need some other fords to show these chebby guys up.

James don't you mean 351M/400? I'm talking about the most outlawed motor in racing the 351C-4V...
TMeyer is pulling down 500 plus HP out of the 400 boat anchor motor... That's pretty respectable... I wouldn't mind finding one of the 400 motors or blocks with the small block bolt pattern for bellhousing! Believe it was one year either 71-73' otherwise it's the big block bolt pattern... But the 351C is a pipe dream at the moment, but it look right at home in the 55's engine bay...!
Jeff or Strokestang331, can I take pics of or get or stop by & get measurements of your 55's outriggers you made to mount cage hoop to? I'd like to try to get a hoop in car & couple down tubes to the back of car... On the front end, I had to find out what was F'D up on it... Worn R/F kin pin, Rod end worn out & they had the solid leaf spring bushings in the front eye of springs. I put new solid bushings in the rear eye of springs. Now it has solid anchor point! I figured F-it & had stuff all powder coated while it was apart, have a friend Rich that does it... I also got narrower rims for front, the old rims were too wide for tires & looked like hell... I got to get a front end alignment now... I pray the F-ing thing won't dart left & right when I get past 80 & at top end of track...
    Jimbo...

If Big Jim gets a Cleveland built in time, there's gonna be a whole lot of brutal beatings administered by that ol Orange Ford.
There ain't much that's got anything for a Cleveland motor.

    Very Cool Scott

Its going to be a hole lot of fun finding out who is quicker, (might be a close one). ;)

I like the Grandma standing next to the Mustang, the good thing about getting old is that the amount
of good looking girls keeps getting bigger.

The ones your age still look good (to you)

The younger ones look even better.

I think we are going to be pretty much a photo finish every race unless one of us sleeps at the tree.:)

Speaking of sleeping at the tree:
Mopar Bob's Ninja-like reaction times were one of my major motivators to dial in a few extra rpm and hp when putting the new motor together:)

The extra hp will come in handy vs Jackson's top end charge on that blown sbc!:)

We'll see,Brother....I think some of the Fords are going to be a force to be reckoned with.
I know Jeff's even scares ME,and we're on the same side!!!!
Jimbo may have something very angry up his sleeve, and Jon Tomkins is definitely not messing around.
He's like Jeckyll and Hyde that guy....Nicest guy on earth....Til you put him behind the wheel, then he's a frickin cold blooded killer.

Sorry fellas,I was a bit preoccupied out here.
On a snowboarding trip in Utah with some good friends, and we just got word that a buddy we've known for 20 yrs died of a heart attack 2 nights ago.Same age as me.
So although I normally don't drink,we got pretty rubbery in his honour tonight.

The shit-talking shall resume in the morning:)
