You know of course poverty stricken me has to make some of these myself now. I go the distance and also put in the George approved safety wire holes too.

Pretty normal AN-Type clamps. Use them all the time at work (I'm an aircraft mechanic), and can be bought at any decent hardware supply place near, or on an airport. I've got several boxes of old ones that I use on my cars, all different manufacturers, but all from WWII-era packaging...

It took me a second to catch what exactly that was... and I don't think I've ever seen a blower on a 6cyl, But it is damn cool. What is it powering?

Here's another, also on a 235 Chevy Stovebolt (55 1st Series Chevy truck). I'm only in the mock up stage at this point.

Thanks George, I have tried to capture a bygone era. It's the little things that can make or break a "period correct"
or "traditional engine". I did fab up those risers under the carbs. The Hexagon manifold has the carbs ( float bowls) turned backwards so not to interfere with the stock generator mounting position. Well if I were to throw a couple Holley's or Stromberg's on there they would clear. But I got cute and wanted run these odd ball Marvel-Schebler
carbs and they are bigger and hit the generator. So I made the risers to solve that problem. Not planned on them but I too think they give the motor the look. IMG_0603.JPG

I saw on Ejay the Hexagon manifold I think its yours for sale. If you haven't sold by the end of your auction let me know I might be interested. I just spent a chuck on 2 door A so funds are tight.. You nailed it on bygone era!! George

  18. Here is the 42 Merc flathead engine that I just completed and put in my cabriolet. I originally going to run a set of early Eddie Meyer heads, but the chambers were too small for the valves and I didn't want to hack them up . . . so I put on a set of Navarro heads that I got from Barney years ago.
