That's a 1925 or earlier T. BUY IT. $500 is a great deal on a steel T body in my neck of the woods. To be specific, it looks like a 25 or earlier T touring car with the back seat/cab removed to make a truck (RPU) conversion, possibly due to gas rationing during WWII.
All wood internal structure and subframe then? I haven't honed my 22/23-25 ID skills, what are the tells?
Well, the complete folding of windshield at center with no separate frame dates it to that period. Bodies look like they're the same as '23-5, but really are not...lots of little differences. For better definition of years, got to the MTFCA site and look at the T encyclopedia...enough detail to drive you mad! That thing does indeed seem like a steal...looks good even as a heap of scrap!
It's neat. Step 1. Buy it. Step 2. Prop it up and paint TROG down the side. Step 3. Sell it and retire.
