    Thanks Roo....
Yea, I get all that, what I was curious about if anyone knows whether there was a complete new car built or was the first iteration gradually updated as was common back in this period.
I recall reading somewhere that the body may have been modded and put on an existing digger chassis.
As I said previously, I never saw the A&G car in person, but also, in any discussions regarding the restoration of the Fuel Cuda; I've never even seen pictures of the Brewer and Mull version.

    Anybody?????

  2. I'll accept just about anything. And I love the afx / flopper transition era, but that A&G Fuel Cuda is just ugly and wrong. 'Prolly loud though so I'll give it a pass.

  3. I'm also curious as to the Brewer car. I agree it looks like a NW track, but I never heard of it. I doubt if it is related to the Fuel Cuda, but who knows?
Marty? Know anything about it? Tommy? Where did you find the pic?
The "Fuel Cuda" was a Cuda body on Dave Grassi's old top gas car. I saw it run several times. It was usually booed by fans, not regarded as a real funny car. Like Garlits Dart and others, it was thought of as kind of a cheeesy attempt to capitalize on the popularity of funny cars. When I saw it at Woodburn it ran 9's if I remember right.
The Austins still has the car and it has been restored.
There is a thread here dedicated to the car.

  4. Looks like the Brewer & Mull was a Pinterest post with no information.
I did find a reference though on the classic Funny Car Board. NOT the Fuel Cuda.
I also found a bunch of bitchin' late 60's NW funny cars! Some are repeats!

  17. All the above cars and some others, plus traveling pros and California cars were on a loose circuit of funny car races throughout the Northwest! Those were fun times!

Thanks Gary for keeping this thread active.
The Action Man kept the NW funnycar fans proud.

  19. Been seen before, but....a three engine car. Two in back, one in front.

The original engine was an L79 350h.p./327still in place under the hood. IIRC it was an original three speed on the column car.
Quite a valuable car in stock condition.

  22. Man there were sooooo many and differing funnies back in the day. I was born just a little too late. '62. By the time my Dad took me to Coon Rapids they were all the standard plastic shapes. I thought I liked funny cars. I had no idea at 7 years old what loud really was. Scared the #$% out of me.
