Event Coverage Fresno & Surrounding Area HAMB'ers

If you've been on the HAMB for any length of time you've no doubt seen me ranting about how much I detest Fresno, let's face it, there's not a whole lot to do around this place. Well, I've decided to do something about that and attempt to organize a weekly Saturday morning get together. The first place that popped into my head was the parking lot at the South-East corner of Cedar & Herndon. The lot is huge, centrally located and you would have your choice of a sit down breakfast at B J's or just grabbing something from McDonald's. Since this coming Saturday is the 4th of July and many of you will be out of town or busy with family stuff how about we schedule the first one for 8 am on the 11th? I'm looking forward to catching up with the guy's I haven't seen for a while, meeting some new HAMB'ers and seeing what everyone's been up to with their projects.

 

Well look who got all full of piss and vinegar! Sounds cool (pardon the pun). I can dig that. Shit, just realized I'll be in San Diego that weekend. Definitely down like a clown, Charlie Brown for the 18th.

Did I see you cruise by my place a couple weekends ago or is there another blue Comet prowling the mean streets of Clovis?

Yeah, that was me. It's been so long since I was over there that I couldn't remember exactly which street to turn off of Bullard so I wasn't sure it was your house or not. I didn't see your van out front and the garage was closed. I didn't want to knock on the door in case it was the wrong house.

Right on. I sent out a ton of PM's earlier in case the other guys in the area missed this thread. I heard back from another HAMB'er saying he will be there and he's planning on bringing a couple guys along with him.

 

I'm hoping this evolves into a weekly thing and if so you'll have plenty of chances to attend.

 

I'll be there a half hour late. Kids have activities in the early morning.

Well after one of the gatherings you'll have to swing by. It's starting to look like a car again. Enough anyway that I can lay claim to the other half of my garage and bring my Comet up from Reedley. Woo hoo!

I will extend this invitation. Not that it's anything fancy or huge. But,,,,, if you guys meet up and go for a rod run, you are more then welcome to head out towards Biola and come by my shop. Getting input on my projects is always healthy. Since they are not road worthy yet. Cold sodas, water, or ?? Avsilable

Right on, I sent out a ton of PM's as a heads up yesterday afternoon but I know I missed quite a few members.........you were one of them. There are a bunch more HAMB'ers from the Fresno/Clovis area that I cant recall the screen names of. If any of you know anyone out there send them a link to this thread.

 

I didn't forget about you, I was planning to call you, Russ and Jim.

 

Quite a few actually, I just wish I could remember everyone's screen name to give them a heads up.
