Man I love the way this has turned out. I had some doubts about what I wanted to have chromed etc., on my 26 RPU but I don't any longer. It's nice to see an example of how it all looks.
I'll be glad when I can blow mine apart and start finishing. :)

  14. What type of paint did you letter the tires with? It looks really good, the whole car has "the look". Job well done.

That looks nice, bet your dad had fun.
I just saw a program on Velocity last night on the Austin Speed Shop.
They were building a 32 roadster.
I didn't know that Jesse James was a co -owner of the shop.
Guess I was a little behind on the times :D

That's cool, I hadn't seen even one of the episodes.
From the look of things Jesse has a pretty neat home shop to occupy his time and other ventures too.

There are much more important people at the shop..

    And more bitching cars. ;)

So, when are you starting on the '28-'29 roadster? You don't want to get complacent now, do you??

Man this is one of those builds and finished cars that makes me want to sell everything in the queue newer than 1955 and just start gathering parts. Truly inspirational.

We both left a get-together last week around the same time and I came up on Eric as he was getting ready to hit the Freeway. We both leaned into it pretty good and let me tell you guys, this little roadster is quick!

Not to get all bummer'sh, but I dig this pic. I lost my pops to the big C last year(not that we were close anymore). But I've dreamt about such a moment with my Grandpa while he is still here if I could get my truck done. He is the inspiration for my next planned build "HubbaHubba". Story goes that he painted that on the sides of his hot rod's doors in high school during the late 40s, before meeting Grandma of course.

I was lucky enough to share the ultimate father/son rides when my son was in college in Texas and we drove his Stude wagon back and forth several times. It wasn't even finished on the first trip so we drove and worked on it in turns. I wouldn't trade those times for anything.

Great look. If I had to put it into a time frame (and I do) I'd say early '50s. Maybe a '40s build updated as Graboski did when he put the Cad. engine in the Lightnin Bug.

Your car has turned out great. I've really liked turtle deck T's since I had the chance to look over the Isky T in person, years ago.
