    Truth in advertising? The motel was about 10-15 minutes from where I grew up. :D

    :D Hi Maggie.Got some great posts going on here.IIRC,my Father did some chauffer work in that area after the war.The FIRST World War that is.:eek:

    My favorite house in Friday Harbor, sits literally right on the water, but with a much smaller parcel of land around it.

    Old cannery dock (long gone now), houses and ferry landing are there now.

    Convalescent Center, later turned into a motel, with the thinnest walls imaginable between rooms.

    Hi there Maggie --- Thanks for all the great north west fotos have you ever come across any of Alpenrose dairy (Beaverton ) we used to go down there quarter midget racing They had all kinds of kids sports going on in there

    Thank you Maggie. My wife and I visited there about three years ago. Although it has a lot of tourist traffic it feels like a small town of many decades ago. Very comfortable community. Hope to get back there someday.
