I know that they aren't customs but sure do look like a lot of fun.

Larry Spears fastback instantly came to mind when I read the question. A lot of customs contain mods that don't quite look right. All the changes to his car are organic as if it was a straight out of a design studio. To wit:

Highlights from my favorites

 

This showed up in the custom blues thread. Love it. Anybody have any more pics? would like to see the rear end.

^^^^ ya know I asked myself the same thing. lol. I think 53 but man it is perfect.

 

Are you sure that much was taken out? I did the chop on mine (not done yet of course) and I took 2.5 all the way around and it looks a lot like mine in the front and now I really wish I had taken more in the rear. It definitely is as perfect as one could get. Great job! now I gotta get mine in black .

I love'm all!
This one's got a lot to recommend. Chopped, wedge sectioned (2-3 1/2 "), channeled...and a tri-carb 348!
All owner built, including paint.

 

^^^^^^ saw that car at the Syr. Nats this past summer it is beautiful.

Wow Bullet Nose, I really dig that car! The grill treatment is great. Got anymore pics?

 

My friend's 52 coupe taken in 56 or 57 ..... before hydraulics or air bags.

 

I did the firewall, and some of the interior metal work, when I worked there.
