Hot Rods Daily driver ? in SLO

We are traveling this month thru the west and were in San Luis Obispo yesterday shopping (my favorite thing!) with the wife when I caught this neat truck parked across the street. Ah, to live in CA and not worry about a top must be great........

Pretty sure that's Hank Van Gaale's (Hanks Welding and Speed) RPU. He handbuilt the body and bed. and it rained here last night, finally!

HA! yes it rained last night on the Rv in SLO which must be unusual as they say.

 

If you are still in town Saturday, drop by the Pismo Derelicts Saturday morning get together in the shopping center at Oak Park and James Way (101south to Oak Park, then east about a block). Usually over 100 cars, trucks, motorcyles, etc. Get there early, its over by 9:30.

 

Thanks for the tip Stu but we have left the area and have headed up north to visit my son and family. We will be in San Jose until Sunday and then start the long trip back to the cold northeast!
