Congratulations to Mike Boerema at the Gas Axe Garage for building me this magnisifant period correct traditional early Caddy powered steelie 32 5w and being presented with the Kontinentals Club Pick at the TRJ Revival.
Congrats on the award. We actually met Friday evening as I was staring at the car... that thing is beautiful!!
That's a bitchin car and congratulations but I don't think magnisifant is a word. Lol sent via classroom note. pass it on
Although that car's so nice it may need it's own word to describe it..... sent via classroom note. pass it on
That's a nice 5w. Any more details on the build? It's great to see cars with something other than the SBC for motivation. I'm doing a 32-5w at present with a 401 Nailhead. What is your paint color? I love everything about your car.
Wonderfully appointed 5W. Very deserving of the accolades. Where is Bad Axe Garage located? TEB Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
The OP is from Grand Rapids, Michigan ... and his builder (Gas Axe Garage) is in nearby Wyoming, Michigan.
Gas Axe Garage is located just outside of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Mike has hand crafted in his unique style four top ten hotrods in the last four years and will not do street rods or rat rods but, only traditional period correct style cars and that means no billet or bought street rods parts and absolutely no small or big block Chevys or fords but, with flatty V8 or V12, Y block, or any older Caddy, Buick, Olds or Hemi. Mike also host the ever so popular Relix Riot (pre-64 NO Billet) Hot Rod and Customs show at the infamous Gilmore Car Museum located just north of Kalamazoo.
Yes, if you send me your email address I would be happy to send you a file of pictures of the build. Mike and I finished it in Six months starting in February and Finishing it in August, just in time for showing it to the public for the first time at the Relix Riot in August then we made some styling changes to show it at the Nats North Plus in September where it was presented with the Street Rodder Top 100 Pick and is honored to be a feature car in their magazine. The Blue Ribbon Deuce will be entered in the Great Eight venue at the Detroit AutoRama in March then will be a feature car at the Texas Round Up in April. And not to forget your question on the paint color it is a PPG custom mix of Dark Blue/Black with just a pinch of pearl to make it pop in the light.
Have a thread of build pictures posted this evening on Blue Ribbon Deuce TRJ Revival Pimlico 2014 post
