Wonderful idea... as long as they keep the OA weight as low as possible, IMHO. Gary

  4. That's pretty cool and a case of instant gratification without all the hard work if you got the scratch. HRP

I would guess the guys saying the price is high never went to an RV show!

Helluva lot cheaper than Airstream, and way cool! Crap, that's less than a Harley...................

  14. 15 grand ain't bad when you figure all the time and labor, not to figure the amount of money you will spend finding a old one a restoring it.

My old 56 Shasta is a long way from being able to enjoy it. HRP

Off topic as hell, but kind of a worthy side bar.

$15K isn't bad considering what I've seen "restored" ones sitting on old axles and dry rotted framing sell for. Super cool.

    You'll have 15 grand in a restoration.....
It will kill the Shasta market. This will be interesting.
I will have to check into this.
Here are the ones they are producing that kinda looked like an old one. I guess everyone gave them grief about the siding.

There's a lot of headaches with the old stuff, however...it's the real deal.

I'd rather see someone like Brookville stamp out new steel mullins trailers.

I follow a page on Facebook called "Vintage Camper Trailers" which has lots of great pics of restored campers. Based on what I've seen on there I would say this isn't a bad price for what you're getting. Very stylish, I dig it.

I owned that exact original in about 1974 or 75. :) We were planning a trip to California from Pa and I got the bug to buy a camping trailer and found that one on an RV lot. I think I spent $700 for it and we put a lot of upgrades in it before the trip.

Before leaving for California we did a shakedown trip one Memorial Day weekend about 200 miles from home and on the way home the axle bearing sheared off the end of the axle and it had to be flatbedded back home. We got it fixed and sold it without ever making the big trip..........we decided camping was not for us.

Nice to see one again though.

Would love to have on but at that price it was have to have a space in the garage and no sitting outside all winter.

Sitting outside is what kills most trailers and rvs. The UV really does a number on them.

Even though my 63 doesn't leak after 50+ years, it lives inside.

my 63 leaked around the roof vent and around those stupid front windows,i replaced the windows with lexan, cured the leaking.. it set outside in a field for 10-12 years before i bought it..what didnt wet rot, dry rotted. i added a a/c unit, and installing a fridge...also took out the foldout bed and put a full size mattress..

I just pulled the trigger on one of these in seafoam green. Major time saver for me, since I do not have the time to fix one up. My kids are 5&3 so this will be perfect for us. I'll post pics when I pick it up in October. Thanks for posting Oldskoolrodder.
