Event Coverage Royboy Goes to the 2014 HAMB Drags

The 2014 HAMB Drags weekend is done! Folks from all over the country, and a couple from the UK all came to Joplin, MO to hang out at the H.A.M.B. Drags out at Mo-Kan Dragway just outside of Asbury, MO right on the Kansas-Missouri State Line.
Many folks, like my dad get to Joplin on Thursday or before so they can go to Springfield to the swap meet. I skipped the swap meet this year and rolled out of home around 1pm in a torrential downpour. 30 or so miles later I broke free of the rain and it was smooth sailing all the way to Joplin. Well, right up until I hit the edge of town, from there on into the hotel I watched the temp gauge climb. Still haven’t figured that out yet, but I have a list of things to try. Back to the story… Rolled into the parking lot and got checked into my room then spent the evening walking around the parking lots of the two hotels enjoying the company of great friends and seeing great rides. Early Tech Inspection was going on in another parking lot and a ton of the cars that were in the event were there at the pre-party hang out .
