Mee too! My first play toy after we married was a 1931 Model A coupe. I had the guys at work make rumble seat brackets from my cardboard patterns. learned to weld, paint, and beat on metal. Not good. But I had fun. Sadly I did too well and several guys wanted it more than I did. Later I bought a 1929 2-door but sold it too. Those were the only Model A's I ever had even though they are still my favorite cars. Simple and beautiful, just like me!
Yip still pretty easy to come by and they sure make a great contender for a damn good looking rod. Why don't the other big brands have the following that ford do.. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
of all the cars i have owned the Model A is still my favorite. can't wait to get another one. I'm going to be watching this thread some great cars.
My avatar is a 29 coupe I built in the mid 90's with a flathead V8 60 sold in the late 90's. I built the 30 pickup in 99 and it is my daily driver and has a warmed over banger. I'm building the 30 sport coupe with an 8BA flathead. I also have a 29 coupe I restored in the 80's. Model A's are tough to beat, great design, reasonable price, good car stock or street rodded.
Thanks. I learned to appreciate Model A's in their original form so much that I left the body dead stock.
For me it's the '28/'29 also but........ It's terrible to have a dilemma like this but I do.............. I am so torn between fender and fenderless on my '29 roadster. They look so good either way. What to do....what to do! And no, I can't have one each..........
