  25. wow surprisingly enough there is a lot more dislike of these lights than i thought.
i personally think they look good on some customs but not all.
I just thought that they were more 'liked' since they pop up all the time

  26. a friend of mine had a duel canted front clip from a 50 merc. It was all done in lead and was thouht to be done by Winfield. That clip weighed a ton and was ugly as sin. Luckily he sold it and used a stock front for his build. I don't hate duel canted lights but they don't fit every car well.

  28. You have to remember this board is about 75% anti-traditional custom, even though it's not supposed to be. Not only was I going to do them on my '50 Chevy, I was going to use something different - I had a set of '58 Imperial pods for it.

I sold the car when a guy came along and made a good offer, and the guy is doing more of a street-roddy build, but he's also got the body off the frame on a rotisserie and given how all out he's taking it I can't complain too much.

  29. I see a few folks with this skewed attitude post from time to time and it is so far off base I do not know where to start? Look at the modern Zocchi car Squirrel posted, perfection. He has taste. Many of the older cars from the custom heyday did the canted quads just for the sake of change, not taking into account the flow of the whole package. This is coming from a guy that would be considered more of a hot rodder than custom guy by folks who want to wrongly label people.
