My first was a 68 olds cutlass supreme that got totaled when a dumb blonde backed out in front of me on my 17 th b-day no less a she was driving a 67 gto and then i bounced off her into a large dodge polaira . #2a 61 dodge stepside, i ass ended a 71 camaro and #3 as punishment a 73 galaxie 500. Things came around though 25 years later to the day of my 1st crash i bought a 68 442! WOO HOO !

  7. 29 A 5W with a 55 DeSoto 291 and matching 3 speed. It was my Shop Class Project for my Senior year (1961). Wish I had it now. Traded it for a 41 Ford Coupe with an Olds 88. Wouldn't mind having THAT back, either ...

'29 Model A coupe w/'47 flathead, Offy heads,3/4 cam, 2 97 strombergs on a Edelbrock intake, '39trans. Drove it last two years of HS and 3 years of college. I graduated in 1962 and American Graftti was the story of our life in high school. When that movie came out it WAS like living those days all over again.

That was along time ago. 37 Chevy coupe I bough when I was a junor in High school, 1952, for $150.00. Man that was alot of money then, now you couldn't buy a fender for that. First 6 in town with duels, wasn't fast but you could hear me comming.

I drove a '51 Chevy Sedan Delivery all through high school, except when I was able to borrow dad's new '63 Olds (one hot car that would lay rubber in all 3 forward gears).

In 1972 I built a 1961 ford short bed unibody pickup with a Ford Boss 302 engine, 4 speed with a 9 inch rearend. I had N-50 15 tires on the front and rear. was a bitch to park but as long as it was rolling wasn't bad to steer.....A buddy and I had alot of fun with that old truck........

63 Corvair that was an absolute POS. Swapped it for a 57 Ford that ,was a jewel, honest as the day is long.Drove the wheels off it for a while then sold it to buy a 65 Chevelle SS rag top.327 4 speed metallic blue with white rag top and Cragar SS rims.Damn it was a sharp car,I wish I still had it.

65 Mustang coupe.Still have it 30 years later. But now it has a EFI 5.0 in it.Total Control suspension and rack and pinion steering. How many fart can Hondas are going to be around in 30 years?

  25. In '81 a '69 Firebird. We bought it when I was 14 for $250.00, took 4 years for me to finish just in time for my Senior year. Before that the shop/yard truck, '69 Chevy flatbed 366 big block with a four speed and two speed rear. The funny thing is I still miss the truck, but I was tired of the Bird the first week I started driving it.

And I still have the same problem, starting with under $500.00 junk, building them with more junk and about a million hours!:D

In 1961 I had a 54 Ford Business Coupe. It had a 239 OHV w/3X2's Isky cam and a 3spd floor shift. It was lt metallic blue with red wheels and W/W tires. It was a cool ride until I wrapped it around a pole.

  28. My mom's 63 Pontiac Tempest GT. 326 2bbl, 3speed in the floor. Dual exhaust.
I snuck up on quite a few of the local fast cars with that sleeper.
Snapped an axle in front of the high school on graduation day,May of '66, and the mecahanic that my mom used saved my ass by convincing her that it could have happened anytime!

This topic has been on here several times before, but here's my '34 Ford Vicky that I drove to high school in 1961 when I was 16.My Dad bought it in 1959 and it's been in my family since. I still own and drive it regularly along with my '32 roadster. I used to run whitewalls but currently run blackwalls..........Mike
