In H.S. had a'57 Chevy 4d station wagon, faded pink and white. 40 years and a bunch of cars later I now have a '55 Ford 4d wagon, teal & white I think I have come full circle.
I abused this Plymouth in the early '90's... still have it. Although I have no idea where that skinny kid went
74 MGB. Wasn't a hotrod, but it was really fun, turned heads and flipped skirts!!! Hahahahahaha! Building a 46 truck that should burn up tires, but I'd still like to have another little MG. Friend of mine is putting a Chevy V-6 in his - gotta think that will scream.

This is a entertaining thread, it took me a while to find and scan some of the old photos. I was able to to get a license at 15 since I lived on a farm. A Datsun 1200 was my first running car, I had a little custom paint work done on it after a fender bender, a 41 Ford pickup was my first early Ford I bought at 15 and was ready to drive at 16. I traded that for a chopped 34 pickup, then my first channeled coupe, a channeled 34 coupe (old hot rod I found) & a chopped and channeled 36 pickup (I still have), 40 Tudor sedan and 30 Model A Tudor I kept for over 20 years. 41 Chev with my first 'decent' flame job I sold to my brother and a numbers matching Z28 Camaro that I sold to build my first of 2, V8 Vegas (DUH!!) I blew up the first engine racing my old Z28 the summer of my Jr. year in high school.
I welded the back doors shut and cut the top off the '39 Plymouth in 1957. The '53 Plymouth wagon had rattle can scallops over a $29.95 Earl Schieb paint job was done in '58. Attending my 50th high school reunion in a couple of weeks. An observation: a lot of these postings are showing guys with cars that are five years old when they were in high school. So, all of you people that are into traditional cars, dump your rods and get something made in '03 or '04 if you want to be like us back in the day!
Gasp! Did you checkout the Caddy fastback and the Buick across the street? Quick, hop in the time machine, bring some money, were gonna go for a ride.

'72 charger with an older 318 y-block in it backed by a 727 torqueflite and slap shifter. Had the torsion bars tweaked all the way up and ran skyjacker airshocks on the back inflated to the max. Thought I was cool shit being the only guy in the whole parking lot running a dodge. Also ran some 14x9 ET star spoke wheels for a short time and had l-60s all the way around. looked like a giant roller skate.
