Got my new rims and tires today and have lowered the front 2 inches. Now the pickup is "done" for now and my focus will return to the shoebox.
Havent updated in a while has been to Florida for some time but now im home again and got some done to the shoebox this weekend, the body is almost reddy for some paint i will paint it in black primer maybe next weekend havent decided yet the exakt color but some kind of maroon red almost Brown is the way to go but i maybe drive it this summer in black primer. Have also done templates for windshield and chopped the wing windows so will be ordering new windows this week. Here is some pictures. Original vs chopped: Made two cuts in the wing window to get a line that looks original gonna weld and polisch them dident want to bend the top more straight.
Todays work sanding sanding..... Painted some etch primer on the surfaces that have been bare metal and will sand some more the whole week....
Thanks for keeping all of us posted and updated on your very cool projects! You are a busy dude indeed.
Thanks for kind words guys! Was out sanding today aswell but dident take any picture still look the same
Got paint on today, now just waith to harden then im gonna wet sand and polisch! In real happy with the color choice hard to tell buy pictures but are really dark maroon red.
Thanks! Yes it will be real fun to put it all together again will wait until i have wet sand and polisch before i start putting windows and stuff back.
Did some chopping on the window garnings today and put the wing windows back in and some other stuff.
Today back and front windows came in, what you guys think should i have my appelton dummies? I cant afford real ones now and i think these match in a sort of way with little surface rost but shinny anyway they suppose to be from the 60is so they dont look exactly like dummies, not gonna run chrome around the front or back window so they match the chrome center strip between the front windows?
That color works well with the chopped top profile. Good choice, very legit early custom kind of color.
The spotlights look good but personaly i think it looks alot cleaner without em either way it will look great tho
Rear side windows are in and working up and down. Tonight are headliner mounting time and maybe start looking at chopping the front seat so i can sit a little lower.
Thank you! If you mean the story of the bike there is not so mutch to tell bought it like it was 3 years ago and rebuild the Engine but now it is sold buyed a Harley again insted!
Is it a hat for the roof? No!! Its angel hair as a headliner some people like it some hate it i think it looks cool and are very easy to fit, mounted it tonight so tomorrow when the glue has hardened i will brusch it
