Don't start Dodge Boy...we all know how Chrysler whined that they needed a 6.9 lb per ci for big blocks to keep up with Jenkins and Gapp's 7 lbs per ci in pro stockers....and how did that work out...then 6.54lbs per ci for big blocks...and how did that go.

If I was a chrysler fan...I would have pretended it didn't happen too:eek:

I sure would have loved to hear the meeting between the NHRA and Chrysler though...let me get this straight...you want a weight break for your ALL MIGHTY HEMI.:D

  8. A similar thing happened in Super Stock a few years ago. At the time SS/AA (Super Stock A Automatic was ruled by the almighty 426 Hemi Cudas & Darts with their 2 4bbl cross ram induction and factory light weight body panels etc. running in the 8.60-8.80's (at that time). Mean while, an able Canadian named John Armstrong (appropriate last name) had tuned his 1 4bbl 427 69 Camaro into the 8.80's, and the car was getting quicker every outing. John set his sights on an Elephant Hunt, culminating with go at the SS/AA shoot out in Indy (NOT called "The Hemi Challenge" at the Tim). John sold his Camaro, and started putting a 69 Corvette together for his Hemi assault, which on paper would run in the 8.60's (and it did). Just one little hitch, so fear stricken was the heard of Elephants over a single Rat, they petitioned NHRA, & with the help of Chrysler money/pressure got their own class SS/AH (Super Stock Automatic Hemi). They even shut out their 4 speed counter parts for a short time, along with B body cars, but later relented & let them join the "special club" (now dubbed Super Stock A Hemi). The SS/AA Shootout, became The Hemi Challenge, and the Rat that roared, was never allowed to stalk the Elephants.

Guess I am the only one old enough remember to the cartoon Tooter Turtle. Mr Wizard would send Tooter on new jobs, after it would not work out Tooter would cry out Mr. Wizard get me home.
example: (I Hate Then Meeces Help me Find my Peices)
That was a pic of Tooter ( Scott :D)coming home, After waking the Child:)
    It ran 1960-1961 ( yes I am old)
No one remembers Tooter Turtle? Drizzle Drazzle Druzzle Drone time for this one to go home?

  19. Did you say selective memory? It should be noted, that Kip was saved from the dark side. He sold is Nopar wonna be max weggie Chevy Dart, and built a really Chebbie without an identity crisis.., only he still wants to bolt Chrysleresck wheels (read Keystones) on it. So whose the closet Chrysler double agent now Kip?

  20. That sneak peek we saw wasn't of anything Mopar, Norb.

Those who know what that long timing chain is for, also know how badass it is!

  21. Saved???

I thought he was called out, got skeered, and abandoned ship.

    LOL ;)

  22. NO! KIP DID! Besides, that ole 62 ugly is getting liquidated, with the funds going to the Child. You see, I too have come back, no matter how hard "Dart Vader" tried to keep me in the dark. One of you Slowpar guys should buy that thing from us, put one of those Black & Decker fish tank '92's in it, and call it "Moby Dart". It's even painted white already.., Chevy truck fleet white of course. By the way, how cool would a 62 Dart gasser be. Its 75% there! Don't be a sissy, buy it and do it, then I can blow off my own (well yours now)Chrysler product!
