Does anybody know the dates for this Swapmeet? Also, when is the Rocky Balboa swap at Lincoln? Thanks
That's the Rocky Manginelli Memorial Swap Meet in Lincoln, second Sunday in March, produced by the Eastern Nebraska Western Iowa Car Council (ENWICC). Be advised that this is the last year it will be at Nebraska State Fair Park, and the last year for the 2nd Sunday in March date: for 2010 the meet moves to Lancaster Events Center on the first Sunday of March. As for the Wahoo Swap Meet held by the Saunders County Auto Association, it typically is held the last Sunday of April. Call Dwain Heiser 402-443-4803 to verify.
Rocky Manginelli was the prime mover and shaker when that event first started. His name was made part of the events title after he died. R.I.P. Rocky
Rocky was a body man/painter. An old guy I used to work with always wondered why they named the meet after him since he was such a "womanizer". I told him if I was lucky they would name a swap meet after me someday! True story!
