  3. I hope this kid had the car fall on him so he learned a lesson that may have saved his life.

    Don't work in your shorts!:p

  4. He didn't learn any lesson. He was seen several years later working on his truck like this.

The very first recipient of a much needed self administered frontal lobotomy.

  6. Ellis Valentine Fast (right), his wife Mable (center) and a friend (left) drove from Ft Wayne Indiana arriving in Portland March 16 1930 in this Essex coupe to look for work. In this photograph, they have stopped in front of the Portland Motor Company Hudson and Essex dealership that was located at the NW corner of Burnside and 10th Street. By October, 1930, Portland Motor Company dissolved and the location was occupied by the Wentworth and Irwin Nash Dealership.

  7. Oh duh, gotcha. It's in Portland in the SE somewhere IIRC.
Edit: Found a caption "A terrific 1939 photo of a city vehicle inspection station at the northeast corner of SE Milwaukie Avenue & Powell Blvd. Incredibly, the building and all the other major buildings visible are still with us today, although the church is now without its steeple."

The 1905 BUICK in the James Melton Collection in the early 1950's. Hope Pete Eastwood can tell us were it is today. Bob DSCF7104.JPG

More James Melton cars, right to left Toledo, Stanley and White steamers. I'm not sure if the newest car is a 1920's Stanley or not. Bob DSCF7103.JPG
