The black T roadster looks to have a Pontiac engine, but can anyone tell me what the intake is? Looks to be fuel injection, but what kind?

  5. You know, I love my state, I truly do. Love it more than any of my ex wives or family.

But it sure would have been nice to have known a cousin or two well enough & that lived out your way to go visit as a kid in the summer a couple weeks at a time.

Had cousins - Bill Brow that traced unlimited Hydros - but we sure didn't know them well enough.

    My loss...

All these pictures - people have got to have loved the area to have taken so many!

Pontiac also offered Rochester fuel injection. Much the same as the more well known Chevy FI units. This appears to be one of those. Maybe modified to look racer.

There was a 57 FI Pontiac in Port Arthur Texas. I was next to it at a gas station once. It had a very loud whistle. The Chevy units did not. The Pontiac had a huge cover over the moter like a late model car. You could not see anything on the motor.

  13. I'll admit I'm partial to Oregon. I have lots of family in the Peck, Michigan area (and Ann Arbor), but no one sends us photos...

Rich, there is a model A coupe in the area with a turbo charged Offy, but it hasn't seen much street use of late.
As for the channeled look, I love it! I am starting on my '32 roadster this winter and it will be very channeled with a 4 cylinder B motor......Can not afford the Offy! Sorry.

Cool. But my 270 is a GMC. Cost $75 at New Haven Auto Wreckers 40 years ago, when I bought it. An Offy is a little out of my price range too.

Another iconic Aussie hot rod. Built by Lyn Arrowsmith in the early 60's. He was a member of the Romans Hot Rod Association, the first club in NSW which is still a strong club today. Many of the foundation members are still active.
There is an early photo of the car in the link below and I have also attached. From memory the car ran a 1960 Dodge with twin 4 barrels.

Looks like Pontiac power. Intake is very strange, maybe custom built? Here is a pic of a factory Pontiac fuelinjection unit. If you ever wondered where the idea came from for a tunnel ram intake look no further than this. 00L0L_6yriJEe09dj_600x450.jpg
