I bet your Mom always told you not to drive and try filming with a hand-held camera, eh? I bet now you got it, Bunkie. Gary

  6. The one car that looks as if it could come off the showroom floor today and be as fresh as it did in 1953.

Jeez, this shot looks like the cover of a 50's comic book or movie poster! Gary

Ouch, that's painful to see. Must've been speeding on the yellow brick road.

I wonder what she's thinking? Let's go in the darkroom and see what develops!

    Vauxhall F series Victor.

Vauxhall is a branch of GM.

  17. Times two times two. I'd like to see the kit car people jump on this with the typical 'glass body designed for a later frame, or maybe late 'Vette suspension.

  23. Many moons ago a fellow in my town repowered his Stude coupe and was disappointed with the results. There was so little weight on the rear wheels that it just smoked the tires. The engine should be set back well into the front seat area. The back seat area will be the new home of the driver's seat. Then you would have a real "hotrod".

    ----------------
    A circa '58-'59-'60 Vauxhall.
    The Vauxhalls were a short-lived
(literally!) excuse for a "car", made
by GM of Britain and imported into
the U.S and Canada during those
    years. Their most notable feature
being that the bodies were made
    of special bio-degradable steel that
    came with factory-installed rust, so
there was no waiting for your new
    car to start self-destructing!!!:eek::eek:

Enough already, Mart! I'm sick and tired of you holding BACK! Please tell us what you really think! :D

  29. Speaking of 53-54 Stude coupes, I went to a Stude swap meet and car show today in South Bend. It looks like there are plenty of fiberglass fenders and hoods being made, and most anything one would want trim wise or body panel wise is still available new from Studebaker International. I've even went on a guided tour of their warehouse. Whether you want new or reproduction, I'm sure a "new" 53-54 Stude could be assembled from scratch with what is available today. Hell, there were even vendors there selling new front and back glass too.
