Always liked the Airoso Bros Willys and the Texiera Willys as well. Saw them both run many times back then. Mark Skipper did the restoration work on the Texiera Willys some years back as I recall.

Insert very large PIC of Wayne Calvert's 41 Willys coupe here!
Here is the only pic I have of one of his gassers.

My vote is for this one, it probably has the distinction of being raced in more decades than any other AA car, 1965 to present day. It took on the best in the 60's and held it's own, 8.48 and 166 on gasoline. Three different chassis men, built and modified it through the years. Chuck Finders, Steve Plueger and myself. I look back at the fun times, restoring it for the late Tom Willford, and getting to drive it in a couple races. But installing hand controls, so that Tom could race it, as he did for 5 or 6 seasons, brought my crew the most joy. Bizio 40.jpg Bizio Pride and Joy.jpg Bizio Indy 2013.jpg

You are a lucky man, Marty; one of Tom Willford's best friends.

I do believe this is the quickest 5#/cubic inch blown gas Anglia in history. Howard and Dan Anderson with their STOUT 354. They just won AA/S at the March Meet in their 38 Chev.

This is one of my favorites. It has been raced since nearly new, and while I don't like the present version, it is still going strong today.
