    Donated what I could.

I remember meeting Mr. Medley at B'Ville in '76. For those of you who haven't, let's say he is fair complected. I mean very fair. The environment at Bonneville is very hazardous to anyone, the reflected sun off of the crystalline white surface can sun burn inside your nostrils and everywhere else. When I recognized who he was and introduced myself he was as gracious as you can possibly imagine, and did not mention my fascination with the car-board "tent" that was taped over his nose to prevent what, after a week in the Bonneville sun surely would be second degree or worse burns to such a prominent feature of his manly countenance.

Be well Mr. Medley, and Stroker,

Tom's skills with a pen, wrench or keyboard speak for themselves. He also happens to be one of the straightest shooting and 'right-sized' humans I've ever met. There's more lessons to be learned here than just fire safety...

We're all releived to hear you're going to be okay, Tom!

I think that "Show Tactics" first appeared in March '50 HRM. I've always dug that one as it (along with the "parts with appeal" spreads) represents amongst the earliest of links between hot chicks and cool cars.
Best of luck to Mr Medley and the re-build of his '40!

Donations can be made by either going to the Vintage Air website, or Hot Rods and Custom Stuff website- info at both locations

I picked up the replacement hood for Tom's coupe the other day at his house. Good thing he had a spare. The louvered one on the car is beyond repair. I left my baby blue leisure suit at home, but it worked out. I had Led Zeppelin on all the way home to San Diego.

  22. Glad to see the help and interest for Tom Medley, I wish I lived out there and could help some way.
Lets see if I can find that picture of my blue leisure suit.

  23. How's the new car coming along Chick ? Well, I hope.

Stop by the Hot Rods & Custom Stuff display at the GNRS (Building 4) and we'll be happy to give you updates. If you can't make it to Pomona, visit our website at www.hotrodscustomstuff.com and see the latest pictures of our progress.

  27. I'm following Tom's car. I meant yours.
