    Sondre,
congratulation! I know how much you love and respect early customs....now you have one. Amazing that you found it in the classifieds in your part of the world. The odds are astonishing.......1 in a Billion? I'd put her back just the way she was, motor, speed parts, color, and all. I bet all of the Coupe Devils are freaking out! You should ship it over for the Roundup :)
Enjoy and I'll Talk to you soon,
    John

Sondre, what a find! Those Chev long deck coupes are just soooooooooo fine. One of my dear friends when I wa in high school had one basically the same. Black with white interior. Three speed on the column and two single barrels with a split manifold barking through a set of Smitty's mufflers. Oh what a sound. Man, I would love to hear that again.

The connection to Barris with your Chev is just the best. The paperwork that is still with the car is priceless. DON'T DO ANYTHING TO IT BUT WASH IT AND DRIVE IT!!!

Can anyone identify what the top grille bar is above the 54 Pontiac center?

Great find. Reading that it has a chrome glove box door brings back some memories. We used to do that so we could look up the girls dresses without them knowing it.

My buddy was selling this car on ebay. It did not sell. I can get you his contact info. Perhaps you knew this? PM me if you want his info. He was selling it for his good buddy. He has info on it. I suspect the person who got it to Sweden bought it from him.

SuperFleye - Glad to see the Chevy's in good hands and you'll give it the respect it deserves. Your plans for it sounds perfect and have fun with it. Maybe repaint it the the original paint someday with a new 216 would be nice. The top grille bar looks like a '50 Olds to me. Very cool - good luck. :D

Congrats to you. What a rare find. That one piece Olds windshield just looks so clean, really shows on a coupe.

I don't know myself but you might also ask about the parking light housing on the ends of the Pontiac grill. I think those are custom made, especially the way they wrap around the fender.

Very nice car Sondre. It simply shows you don't always need a chop or radical beer-fart lowering to have a standout car.Instead, this Chevy has soul and class.

Haha, yeah it would have been fun to drive it around Austin.... :) But if I ship it over for the Roundup I wouldn't have it back for the Coupe Devils Rod & Kustom Bonanza in May :D

Yes, see ya around, we're still planning to go to the Roundup next year!

Concratulations Sondre... Fantastic you where able to get that car. It could not have gone to a better guy I guess.

Perhaps you should contact Brad Masterson about the paper work. I think he has found some old paper work in his new shop next to the old Barris main shop. He might be able to time the papers you have on the car. And if not he might be able to ask George Barris about it...

What a great car... and yes drop it a little in the back and add Sombrero hubcaps to it, then it will be absolutely perfect. Most likely Barris did finish it that way in the 50's as well...

    WOW
