How can I prevent a spammer using my email address and sending crap out that looks like I'm doing it. I heard today from a fellow member that he received spam from me. HRP
That's called spoofing... and that's not something that is caused by the HAMB or from you being on it... Happens to me too... Sucks.
Man,if it happens to the Boss with all he knows about the internet I take it there is no way to protect yourself from spoofing? HRP
Danny, I think it happens to a lot of folks that are "on-line" for long periods of time..The 'Hackers" find your email address and access your email account to send crap out and not use their own email address..It has happened to me also
The fix is to change your email password. That won't prevent it from happening again. Make the password long and hard.
