Random misfire through exhaust

    Supersized, the compression check was done by post#18. Anyway, Mr. Carb Guru figured it out. It had one of those 1/4" thick carb gaskets with the phenolic spacers for the carb studs. He popped those out and ground them down a bit so the carb would clamp down tighter, and bingo, 15" vacuum. I feel a bit foolish for missing it, but I wouldn't have thought to grind those spacers. I hosed that thing down with WD40 looking for leaks, and didn't find any. Tightened it down good, but no change. I guess that's why he's the Carb Guru! (And I'm not!)
    So Hallelujah, no more snap crackle pop, no more rich idle. Solved!
