    I believe I raced him in super modified in the first year in his Maverick, That thing hauled bums!

    Sorry for your loss Chris, will miss seeing your pops at mirage/bonneville/rpm will always remember him as the Flathead king.

    When I was a teenager my dad was on the crew of a B/SR and I spent a lot of time at the drag strip. The roadster started out with a 289 then went to a Boss 302. It eventually got a 426 Hemi until returning to the Ford ranks with a 351 Clevor and finally a 460. Being a Ford guy I always loved your dad's B/SR. Sorry for your loss.

    Yes, Kevin. Dad actually built the first true drag Boss 302. He won the Supernationals first competitive event for the combo.

    This 260 was the first power plant. Dad purchased the motor from Carol Shelby at a time when he was retrofitting Cobras.
