Picked these up at Hershey part number is 51-3032, look to be NOS. What year did they fit originally and what attached to the top? Thanks. AFTER Hersher 2015 021.jpg

51-3032 is the part number for: Front axle to Radius Rod Perch bolt for 1935-37 FORD truck. 2 required. I think the top is shock absorber related.

  3. Might be usable for a sway bar.

Thanks 19Fordy, think they will find the glass bead cabinet and some primer. Bob

Are they truck or pickup? Meaning, are they regular size or extra-large? If extra large, you could probably turn then down to regular size (diameter), and maybe leave them a bit long for use with a bolt-on lower shock mount.

Here's the rest of the story. Looks like it's for a pickup truck, not a big commercial truck

  7. O.K. so the top part is the pivot point for the mechanical brake arm. Now I see says the blind man.

According to the Mac's catalog: Not for 1/2 Ton Pickup or Commercial.

19forty, that diagram is big truck, not passenger sized commercial. Large stuff.

"51" is '35 truck, the first use of the part. Truck at this period of Ford means big truck, anything specific to pickup in '35 would be Model 50 commercial, but of course nearly everything for that would be same as passenger.
Note the drag link steering in the picture. The 3032 just means perch pin, the prefix tells you what models it would fit. If Fords still had perch pins, they would still be 3032's.

My clues were the upper steering arm on the spindle, the six bolts holding the backing plates on, and the dropped yoke at the back of the wishbone. But knowing the nomenclature like Bruce does is handy too.
