    Hello to all,
Just wanted to say thanks to all the people who put this site together. Its been a great resource as I start my journey to rebuild my 41 Ford two door barn find. Looking forward to learning a a lot from everyone on here and if any fellow 40's owners can offer some advice would much appreciate it. Thanks.

Thanks for the welcome. LBCD, that 41 is coming along great. Love the color!!. My dad used to live in long beach and I was born in Bakersfield but havent been back in years.

Anyway, my plans for now are to basically built a trojan horse style of sorts. Planning on a Mustang II front end, crate 350, auto transmission and 9 inch rear. Basically redoing the guts. Hope to put some whitewall radials and lower it and add a visor and smoked windows. Going for a sled chopped look without chopping. Just found some original skirts for it also on HAMB. It also came with original hubcaps and spotlights. Then want to have a nice red/black scheme interior.

My goal right now is since this was in storage since 74 and the paint looks good and has a nice patina I am hoping to just clean it and maybe clear it, maybe a little pinstripe to make just a slick driver for me and the family. Love the look of it and has room in the back for my 2 girls. Heres a pic of what I'm going for minus the shiny detail finish. Will make a project thread for sure to document it. Goal is to have it ready for Cruisin the Coast in Biloxi next year in Oct. where I bought it this year. Thanks for the interest and keep your going. Cant wait to see it finished.

Finally got to get started this week. We were able to pull off the front end, remove the interior, take out the dash and remove the floor pan. It had a bit more rust than expected. Having a blast getting it started!! Been a while since I last posted but things have hit a milestone. We got the frame and drivetrain pretty much knocked out. Getting ready to start the work on the body. Looks like you went with a SBF. They're no brainers. No mods to firewall, floor even with a stock front axle. Looks good.

Thanks yeah. Gonna do some customizing on the front clip to give it some style. Had to keep it a ford motor just for tradition.

IMG_1065.JPG IMG_1062.JPG IMG_1015.JPG IMG_0379.JPG Got the body on the frame and starting the fun stuff, the custom work to the headlights. Got the chrome back on the grilles from Superior Chrome Plating in Houston and they did an awesome job repairing the small crack in the center grille.

Been a little while since I have posted but as we close in on this 4 year project, my 41 is finally coming together. Can't wait to get it on the road. Taking it to Crusin the Coast this year for its debut. Big thanks to Ritchie Holcomb at Ritchies Hot Rods for all his hard work!
