Hi all, glad to be here. I just aquired my grandpas 48 stude m15 was wondering what newer style frame works best? I have heard s10, dakota and full size. Was wondering if anyone has done it and has a better answer then to measure it...
Welcome to the HAMB from Illinois. Please note that this site is only for discussing "traditional" rod builds using parts and build methods from prior to 1965. You will not get help with putting your old body on a modern frame. There is plenty of help here for making the antique run and drive very dependably.
I would suggest that you read the rules about what's allowed on this site. As for expecting someone else to come up with the answers to what will work for what you want to do, I would also suggest that you get out your tape measure. Another option is this Studebaker Truck Forum. https://www.bing.com/ck/a?!&&p=0c5a...3N0dWRlYmFrZXItdHJ1Y2stdGFsay1mMjM4ODUv&ntb=1
Lucky Ben, you should have read this first, but at least you can read it now: https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/the-h-a-m-b-rules-guidelines.44274/ No modern frame swaps at this place.
