Hello! Just saw your posting I'm glad to see a younger generation still interested in these era vehicles! I have a 54 ford which was also my first car heres the build thread: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=622142/ its nothing fancy but you might get a kick checking it out , it is what got me into cars and how i learned (still learning)to work on them and almost everything has been done by myself and help from friends all in a driveway with mainly handtools. As long as you have determination you can achieve alot dont ever give up and im sure you'll have fun with your 53! good luck!

Those wheels would look great, Jason. You've got good taste. Your stock wheels and caps will work pertectly for now though, while you improve the drivetrain/steering/brakes/susp/elec etc. Make that car run and drive flawlessly and dependably then jazz 'er up. Although...nothin' wrong with keeping your eyes out for a good deal on some chrome wheels. LostHope's build-thread sure is good inspiration. And you don't even have to do a body-swap...lol. I just know you're gonna make a nice car outa that '53. And drive it through high school!

Cool beans, I've been pondering trading my buddy out of a 52 Tudor with a botched chop job to put my flathead in.
