It is the real deal. It's not a kit it even has hidden stiches...

OK, just to touch bass with who ever is following this thread. I actually drove the car today under its own power to a cruise about 5 miles from my house. The car drives and idles very well. I think I might have a coil problem and I have a rear tire that rubs the wheel well while turning but other than that it is perfect. I believe it is a coil problem but I'll figure it out later. Under hard acceleration it falls on its face. I can bring it up to high RPM's under load slowly but under full throttle no good. I'm sure the shit 2:73:1 rear gears and big Cam aren't helping either. I still would like to dial the carburetors in better but I can't complain because it idles and drives pretty good considering.
I hope to see a few HAMBERS at the Nationals. All the best...

Just would like to give a big thanks to Speedway motors. A very exciting and proud moment for me and the Chevy. Not very often are you offered a opportunity to have your vehicle on the cover of a Catalog or Magazine. Especially America's Oldest Speed Shop, Speedway Motors. Thanks Damon Lee and Jeff Karls for a great evening. Hope to see you guys soon.

    All the best, IMG_20150121_163524.jpg

  8. A cover shot! You gotta buy 5 copies for your momma!
    Congratulations to you!
Hopefully they make mention of the bong water green color.

  9. Hey, HotRod26, Super nice build not to wild totally reminds me of the way we built them when I was in high school. Thre 56 has always been my favor, so you have my Vote all the way! The Green with the White just makes the car.

Lol, no mention of the bong water green but inside the cover they mention my name and shop. Pretty awesome feeling, cloud 9 for me...

Thanks a lot, it was the hardest part of the build, picking the color. So glad I did, I love the way it looks in the sun.

  22. Congratulations on getting a cover shot. Beautiful car. But I am somewhat biased as I also have a similar car I have had for 19 years. Love the 56 BelAirs.
