That's a cool car. I was looking at it and thinking of that old cartoon where the little car comes home as a hot rod and his father the taxi disapproves then I saw the one picture with the foxtail. That put a smile on my face. Great work, I hope I do half as good.
Besides having a very cool roadster....McFly is a very genuine person!! It puts a smile on an old hot rodder's face such as I to see a young guy like McFly build a roadster like he did.........as i said before "he gets it"
Dig the car! What are the headlights? I'm guessing Arrows or Guides? Tall windshield sets it apart. As for the gauges; aren't the s/w Wings repops of late 40's-early 50's making them " period correct".
Neat car. A generator would look nicer but hey it's his and it's cool. I like picture #12 the smile on his face says it all and the scenery is great plus it shows he will drive it just about anywhere.
The "A" is perfect. Ryan is correct - the restraint used in the build is spot-on. There is no smack you in the face aspect of it, screaming at you "look at me."
I don't know who first put a '28/'29 body on a '32 frame but if I did I couldn't thank him enough. Cars like this one prove "when it's right, it's right". When you stop to think about it the phrase "reinvent the wheel" is kinda silly, really. Once it's done it's done there is only moving on or making a better copy. There is only one name on a "patent". McFly just did the latter without loosing the origional vibe. Congrats, restraint is a virtue, well done. Frank
I like it.. A lot of car owners have lost the purpose of "Hot Rodding". A hot rod used to be results of YOUR sweat & blood, not what some rotisserie shop and a bunch of dollars would produce. You have to have a car you can enjoy driving, get a few bugs on the grill, maybe in your teeth.. Great looking car. Tom
I love it. I cannot imagine anything more perfect than jumping in that thing and cruising. Well maybe throw in some BBQ.
Out of all the Hot Rods that we have built at the shop, Jareds is one of my favorites!! I really like how simple it is. IT has inspired me to start collecting parts to build my own little A-V-8. Jimmy White
Small Update: Thanks to Jimmy White for the shop space and Skinny Jeff's wiring talents, I am know longer shamed. Before & After!
That car is IT as far as the A v8 goes.... Its looking like I may have dibs on a running driving original 32 chassis....black wheels....black paint.....everything O.G. something a little different in the works... Jareds car rules...
