E582D05F-3B43-4B89-9C7F-159CDAC21304.jpeg Went and look at this really cool deluxe Model A roadster hot rod that's been tucked away for 40 years. The story behind it is in 1960 the owner did a body off restoration and installed a 1933 4 cyl. with a Cragar OHV conversion. Installed hydraulic brakes, changed the transmission using a hydraulic clutch, (stiff as shit). Did a couple other mods to it then gave it to his daughter for her 16th birthday. She drove it until 1978 then put it in storage. It changed hands in 1996 when she sold it to the current owner who went through the motor, brakes, etc. and then it was put into a storage container until this year. (On a side note, when she sold it, she told the new owner that she had lost her virginity in this car.:eek:) The motor was then tuned up, new brakes, clutch and master cylinder along with the lines were installed.
It has a rumble seat, new top material, original side curtains and hood, which isn't on it. New Coker wide whites with cream spokes which really look good with the old black lacquer paint and white interior. It even has an oil change sticker thats still on the door from 1962.
It's just a really cool little nostalgic roadster with loads of character and charm.

Runs great. Hydraulic clutch needs addressing, hard as hell to push in. From what I understand now, it's a Cragar head due to the identifying A in a square. It's been out of circulation for 40 years, so little stuff here and there is to be expected. It's just a really neat old hot rod with a lot of charactor.

The clutch is normal. Your left leg is just atrophied from driving all of the modern automatics & feather light clutches....ha-ha. Seriously, that is a pretty amazing car with some incredible subtle period mods.... great find!
