Man, you just gotta move that seat towards the drivers door more. Who cares if whoever is riding shotgun is near the door or not? :D

  9. Barn find lol... he also told me he has a Ford bench that's 60" wide, has a fold down armrest. So I'm good on the seat now. Ordered the power steering pressure hose. It's got a 1 wire alternator on it, but it's not charging. I've tried exciting it, revving it up, etc... thinking about ordering a rebuild kit for it. KIMG0039.JPG

  10. Ford seat, I guess those headrests come off. KIMG0040.JPG

  11. Hey! I recognize those seats! Little Truckdoctor has a truck they fit in. When you order your rebuild kit, don’t forget a new regulator.

If you leave them as-is, you need to then get an all new silk wardrobe.
Don’t forget about wearing matching slippers when you get in the truck. ;)

Yes, I know you change that, but is the fit good?

Oh, they come off. With the right saw, everything comes off.

  15. Yeah it's a complete 1 wire kit, $38

  16. For alternators? Screenshot_20240222-215340_Samsung Internet.jpg

  17. Lol yeah, I don't know about the fit until I go get it, I'm getting both seats. If I use the Ford seat, it'll probably get a Mexican blanket interior.

  18. Very nice! I never thought about checking Amazon. That’s a darn good price too. The last time I rebuilt a GM 10 SI was on an International 184 tractor and I bought the parts from The Rock for a late 1970’s Nova. I realized I could probably buy a new Chineseum alternator from The Rock cheaper, but I enjoyed rebuilding the OEM unit and keeping as many of the GM parts as possible.

  19. This alternator was rebuilt probably 2 years ago, never used. I had a buddy that owned a starter shop and I'd take him cores, he'd fix me a couple in exchange. This one had been laying around the shop. I don't know why it won't charge, and the worst part is my buddy retired and sold all of his stuff

@Lloyd's paint & glass Yeah I remember now. Last time I checked local parts store they were more than the alt.
    That's why I didn't buy it.

  27. I would be very interested in how that new Quadrajet works. People can laugh all they want, but I’ve had excellent success with eBay and Amazon carburetors on power equipment and farm tractors.

Ok boys....slowly back away from the chinesium carburetors..they can be deadlyo_O

  29. I don't know this to be fact, but I'm betting our dearly beloved mainstream carburetors have some imported flavor to them in one way or another lol... like I said, I'm curious about them lol...
