  3. All I can say is: You are one lucky SOB to find that shell!!
I'd give ANYTHING to have it!!
I was planning on building a replica of that car after building the Deora clone I'm finishing right now.

If all else fails, I'd PAY you just to be able to get the dimensions off of it!!
Here's a couple of links to give you a better idea of what you've found:

Very cool... I always wondered what happened to that car. Don't pass this up...definitely a piece of automotive history worth having. I sure hope it's salvageable...

Awesome car, dude- snatch it up.

That rear end is almost Priusesque since it's so darn big. (shit, did i just say a bad word?)

It also reminds of a concept car I saw either online or at the Boston Auto Show- either Audi or Cadillac or Lambo. That rear end is really distinctive.

you said Matchbox, but it seems I had one that was a Hotwheel. It was blue with yellow scroll striping. Anyway, cool find!

  10. Tell people it was built from a Corvette, that should piss some guys off.

Oh wait, it might really be built from one, with the IRS and all.

As stated above she was never a real car never even had a motor in her. I can also tell you for a fact that she was destroyed. I talked to Mr Gardner about 20 years ago about having him build a 2nd one but the price was more than I could spend.

That's why I come here every day! I bet I've learned more on the HAMB in the past 2 years than the 10 years prior to that. Cool find!

  20. Would it be possible for you to post some of the other pictures you have of the Charger III?
I would very much like to see what else there is!
Here's a link to some shots I purchased on Ebay (of all places!).

Yeah I just have to say...un freaking real that you guys figured this out in under 5 minutes! I just showed it to my boss...without this new fangled internet it woulda taken years, if ever, to learn anything about this car!

That looks real cool all fixed up, hope to see your progress reports!

  26. really looks a lot like the hot wheels twin mill also.

I don't think it's really the Charger III. It seems too chunky and clunky. The real Charger is thinner and the lines flow better. I think that hulk you originally started the thread with is some failed backyard attempt by someone to create a fiberglass car that looks like the Charger III.

I noticed that the doors don't go up with the top on the one you found.

In all the concept pictures, there is a way to get into the car without hopping over the door.

I think the one you found is a copy. It appears that the inside shell looks very thin and crude.

It sure looks like the same tires are on both the found car and the glossy shot of the red car with the woman on the beach... do the tires on the car that was found say "goodyear"???

Awesome find... hope it is actually a significant car for ya!
