I really dig this set up Jeff...But I'm really partail to the Superior style wheels! I have one in my Plymouth that I picked up at a swap meet for a dollar, I love that thing, but its so old the foam rubber grip is crumbling in my sweaty grip, and I'm trying to find a way to save it...anybody have any suggestions? I'm sure I could buy another one but I'm really attached to this one now! My Current setup!
When it comes to looks... I favor the Bell three spoke... but ya can't beat a 40 for seeing the gauges... and, the larger whell has its advantage if your using a less than desirable center steer ratio
My 35 Ford's interior. Original dash with '53 Desoto Gauges (which I like because there is 3 like the original 35 gauges), '40 Ford standard wheel with the ribs smoothed out and a 41 truck horn button. Center waterfall rechromed along with window crank, SW temp and oil pressure gauges mounted underneath in a custom panel. Missing from these pics is the map lights that shine on the center waterfall.
I seen once car from back in the day that used them in a different dash and it stuck with me. I happened to buy this set 4-5 years ago long before I got my '35 so it was a match that was meant to be!!! It didn't hurt that ROLF used a set in his and I was later able to just check his thread for the right gas gauge resistor. Thanks a ton and sorry for the shitty pics.
No pics of mine since it's in pieces right now getting put back together , BUT some of my favorites are the 1957 Ford wheel , 1940 Ford wheel BUT my all time favorite is the Superior 500 wheel with the 4 holes in the spokes ! Had a few different ones back the the early 70's ! I really like the solid red , the silver metal flake , the gold metal lake , the green metal flake or the solid white wheel . Right now I have a Cal. Custom 15" black 3 hole rubber wheel I am using but I will be keeping an eye out for either a silver , gold or red metal flake 4 hole wheel to replace the one I have now . I just really like the 3 spoke wheels because it leaves the top open really well to see the Tach and other gauges easily . Of course the 40 Ford wheel does that very well too . Kevin Lee , that has got to be one of the most stunning steering wheels ever made ! Jeffery James , I really like how your dash and gauges are set up in yours ! I added a tachometer and air speed indicator to my jalopy. I also made the leather wrap for the steering wheel.

I never really got any good shots of this one here but its a narrow 39 merc dash with a 50s chevy wheel, i wanted to put a merc wheel with it but never did. i actually bought another 39 merc dash cause i really like how this one turned out, gotta do another one i guess. jeff

Here's the wheel and dash in Bud's B. The wheel is from a 1940's Chris Craft boat, with original paint. Same size and shape as a '40 Ford, with slightly different ribs than the Ford. I added the '34 Ford button/switch because the CC had a large lever that ran the throttle or something. The bakelite switch has some old initials scratched into it, probably 70 years ago. This car speaks to me every time I drive it. The crack where the spoke meets the rim gave me a pinch last night on the way back from seeing the Rolling Bones Bonneville tour in Des Moines. .
It's not exactly high-zoot, but I don't get tired of this view, either. Notice my spiffy CarQuest half-sweep tach, contrasting radio-delete plate, Fairlane 500 horn ring, and my good-luck charm: the 4-speed knob from my grandparents'/Dad's '65 GTO.
